At the time of the incident, the school followed the necessary protocols to address it, which included investigation by Banning Police Department. Good afternoon Palomino families, Please remember that at Nicolet all students must wear their ID lanyard during school hours (except at PE) as part of the Dress Code and for safety purposes. All students received the first ID lanyard free. If they need a new one, please go to the ASB Office before or after school or at their lunch to purchase. The cost is $7 for ID card, lanyard, and ID cover. Thank you for helping your Palomino come to school prepared each day. Good afternoon, We had a Shelter in Place notification sounded by error this afternoon over the loudspeaker. The campus and surrounding areas are safe. Students were already in sixth period before it came over the loudspeaker. Great job to everyone for taking it seriously and responding appropriately! Our Palominos are prepared! As a reminder, we need all students to wear their Nicolet ID lanyard all day, every day with the exception of PE and while playing sports. Lanyards can be vital in real emergencies, hence we require students to wear them while on campus. Replacements can be purchased in the ASB Office before and after school as well as at the student's lunch. The ID card is $5, the ID cover is $1, and lanyards are $1. We are currently awaiting a new shipment of lanyards, but students are welcome to use their own from home or previous years. Thank you all for your support, understanding, and cooperation.
